Evaluation: During the v-p debate

Civility and respect were in question tonight by many who thought Biden acted condescendingly, smiling and smirking at times. Ryan did less of that. As for the truth, some detours.

The debate focused more on foreign policy than domestic issues. That might bring some criticism to moderator Martha Raddatz of ABC News. They debated on jobs, Medicare and abortion were some of the topics. But they seemed to be discussed much less than the overseas issues.

We’ll allow the major fact-checking organizations to do the bulk of the analysis of who got it right and wrong. We’ll start it off with Medicare.

They argued about who cut Medicare by more than 716 billion dollars. Here’s what fact checkers say:
