Fox News headline doesn’t jive with the story

Here was the headline that appeared online today: ‘Hollywood bailing on President Obama and the Democratic National Convention’

To us, the story does not support the first part of the headline which makes it appear that large numbers of people associated with the entertainment industry have withdrawn their support.

Fox News cited six people who attended four years ago and will not this time. If there were more, since they named six, the others, if there were any, should have been identified.

The story said, “We reached out to reps for all of the above in an attempt to find out if these stars would be attending the DNC again this year. A majority did not respond, but of those who did, few will be making a return trip.”

They say not many will come this time. Again, the story mentioned only six people who won’t return.
