On CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight,” Newt Gingrich (pictured) called Paul Ryan’s second budget plan the only bipartisan approach to save Medicare. He referred to Ryan’s meetings with Ron Wyden (D-OR) to work out the new proposal.
Wyden released a statement that said he did not agree entirely with the plan Ryan presented. Wyden has some differences with Ryan which caused him to back away from Ryan’s proposal.
No House Democrats voted for the plan so calling it bipartisan is completely wrong.
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, host of “The Last Word,” made an unsupportable statement about Ryan. He said the new v-p candidate is “85 days away from being another losing vice presidential candidate who will never be president.”
O’Donnell is way off base in predicting a result he can’t possibly know. This is bad journalism but we’re confident O’Donnell won’t be criticized by MSNBC management. Disappointing.
