Odd take on two unsupportable remarks from talk show caller

Tony Trupiano, guest hosting on the liberal Ed Schultz radio show, listened to some comments today that were puzzling to us from a caller. Trupiano has his own talk show and also is an author. The subject was international relations.

Here’s what the caller said: “He’s not very good when it comes to foreign policy. You know he’s upset England, our best ally, he’s upset the Israel and the Palestinians, I mean, foreign policy should be a big issue and I think Pres. Obama has the best foreign policy of any president that’s ever been.”

We’re not aware of any significant complaints from Israel about the visit. And to say the President is the best ever on foreign policy is not valid, unless the issue has been fully vetted. The caller did not indicate he’s done any research on the subject.

But the host approved of the comments. He said, “I couldn’t agree with you more, Lee … Folks, for those of you who listen to the podcasts of this show, listen to what Lee said over and over and over again because he’s got it down. Lee, what’d he tell me, he’s 20 years old.    Lee’s already got it figured out. Lee, you need to run for office, that’s what you need to do.

>Trupiano’s  acceptance of the caller’s message indicates a lack of respect for the facts.
