The embarrassing presidential race resumes with embarrassment

They took a break after the tragedy in Aurora on Friday. Pres. Obama’s side said it would last until this Friday. Mitt Romney’s campaign said “until further notice.” But they didn’t even have the decency to go beyond Monday.

We’ll continue to highlight the false, deceptive, exaggerated and whatever else claims that should make the candidates and others who support them realize that their integrity might be in jeopardy. Politics does corrupt too many and makes us wonder what happened to conscience.

Presumed Republican candidate Mitt Romney went off the track during his VFW speech yesterday. He chastised the Obama administration on leaks.

The former governor’s comment to the veterans group was, “And let me make this very clear: These events make the decision we face in November all the more important. What kind of White House would reveal classified material for political gain? I’ll tell you right now: Mine won’t.”

If someone on the President’s team is responsible, they should be fired, we believe. But we don’t know anything for sure yet.

For Romney to say his administration won’t leak anything is presumptuous. No  president would say he favors  the unauthorized release of information. But it manages to happen.
