The liberal MSNBC host, Lawrence O’Donnell, continued using the “bloviating ignoramus” phrase tonight to describe Donald Trump as he did on his program, The Last Word, last night and the night before. (See our May 29th post.)
He said on Wednesday’s broadcast, “This is the first president who has suffered a challenge to his legitimacy by a bloviating ignoramus or from anyone else … Newt Gingrich knows that George Will is right about Donald Trump being a bloviating ignoramus. Newt Gingrich is afraid to say that … It couldn’t be that Newt’s afraid of a bloviating ignoramus.”
O’Donnell used the demeaning phrase four more times before completing his rant.
Talk show hosts diminish themselves when they fail to show civility. O’Donnell has resorted to name-calling three nights in a row. He would be more credible and earn more respect if he refrained from such language.
