Former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs strayed from the truth on ABC’s This Week yesterday during questioning about the Republican presidential primary race.
There has been considerable discussion about the lower turnout compared to 2008 in many states. Gibbs commented, “Fewer and fewer Republicans are coming out [to vote].”
That is inaccurate. While turnouts are down in some states, there has not been a bigger percentage decrease in each subsequent primary or caucus.
